RESOLUTION NO. 2520
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
WITHDRAWING CERTAIN TERRITORY FROM THE CONSOLIDATED
SEWER MAINTENANCE DISTRICT.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the City of Vernon did annex certain territory
designated as "Bandini Annexation" and "Vernon-Riverside Annexation No.2"
lying within the Consolidated Sewer Maintenance District; and
WHEREAS~ Frank M. Jordan, Secretary of the State of Californial
did certify the completion of said annexations;
NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
The City Council of the City of Vernon does
hereby request that certain territory designated as "Bandini Annexation"
and "Vernon-Riverside Annexation No.2" be withdrawn from the Consolidated
Sewer Maintenance District. Said "Bandini Annexation" is more particularly
described as:
Beginning at the intersection of the northwesterly line of
Atlantic Boulevard (formerly Atlantic Avenue) and the northeasterly
boundary of the City of Vernon as per map filed in book 3 at page 19
of Official Maps, in the office of the Recorder of Los Angel es County,
California; thence generally northeasterly along the generally north-
westerly line of said Atlant ic Boulevard to a point in that certain
curve in the Southerly line of Bandini Boulevard, described as having
a radius of 30 feet in deed to the County of Los Angeles recorded
February 24" 1925 in Book 3860" Page 214, Official Records of said
County; thence northeasterly in a direct line to the most Westerly
corner of the parcel of land (for Atlantic Boulevard) described in
deed to the County of Los Angeles recorded June 1" 1936 in Book
14186, Page 110. Official Records of said County; thence North-
easterly along the Northwesterly line of said last mentioned deed,
Northeasterly along the Northwesterly line of Atlantic Boulevard
{formerly Atlantic Avenue} as described in deed to the County of Los
Angel es recorded May 9, 1936 in Book 14074, Page 297, Official
Records of said County. Northeasterly along the Northwesierly line
of Atlantic Boulevard (Formerly Atlantic Avenue) described as
Parcel 1 in deed to the County of Los Angeles recorded December 20,
1935 in Book 13900, Page 29, Official Records of said County and
continuing northeasterly along the northeasterly prolongation of tha.t.
certain course described as having a bearing of North 480 48' 39"
East in said last mentioned deed, to the northerly line of East 26th
Street as shown on said map; thence westerly along said northerly
line to a southeasterly corner of the boundary of the City of Vernon,
as show n on said map; thence continuing westerly along said last
mentioned boundary and follow ing the same in all its various courses
to the point of beginning.

Said "Vernon-Riverside Annexation No.2" is more particLilarly
described as:
Beginning at the intersection of the northwesterly line of
Atlantic Boulevard (formerly Atlantic Avenue) and the northeasterly
boundary of the City of Vernon as per map filed in book 3 at page 19
of Official Maps in the office of the Recorder of Los Angeles County"
California; thence southeasterly along said northeasterly boundary
to the true point of beginning at a northeasterly corner of the boundary
of the City of Vernon as shown on said map; thence southwesterly
along said Vernon City boundary and follow ing the same in all its
various courses to an intersection with the boundary of the City of
Maywood as it existed on December 1~ 1959; thenc.e southerly along
said last mentioned boundary and follow ing the same in all its various
courses to the northerly line of Parcel No. 1 described in Final
Judgment of Case No. 466051 of the Superior Court of the State of
California in and for the County of Los Angeles recorded in book
18919 at page 288 of Official Records in the office of the Recorder
of said county; thence easterly along said northerly line to the
northerly line of Slauson Avenue as shown on map of Tract 7923
filed in book 113 at page 80 of Maps in the office of the Recorder of
said county; thence easterly along said northerly line of Slauson
Avenue and the prolongation thereof to the southeasterly corner of
Lot 109 of said Tract 7923; th.ence southeasterly to the north-
westerly corner of that parcel of land described in deed recorded
in book 18618 at page 32 of Official Records in the office of the
Recorder of said county; thence northwesterly along the south
line of the Los Angeles River flood control right of way and its
northwesterly prolongation as shown on map of said Tract 7923
to the true point of beginning.
SECTION 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is hereby
directed to file a certified copy of this resolution with the Board of Supervisors
of Los Angeles County.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of th.e City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution, and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 23rd day of January~ 1962.
