Resolution No. 2526 ~ """ 1 2 3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DIRECTING THE GIVING OF NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS 4 OR BIDS FOR INSTALLATION OF VEHICLE DETECTORS AT THE INTERSECTION OF FRUITLAND AVENUE AND SOTO STREET. IN 5 ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 277 OF THE CITY OF VERNON. The construction to be done and materials to be furnished under said Contract No. 277 are approximately as follows: Install induction loops, post mounted cabinet, foundation" vehicle detector sensing units" vehicle detector power supplies" conduit and con- ductors; and do all appurtenant work as shown on Plan No. T1616. The construction shall be in accordance with Plan No. T 1616 and Contract No. 277 heretofore approved by the City Council of said City. and no N on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City" a copy of which may be secured. from the City Engineer of said City. Notice is also hereby given that, pursuant to said Labor Code of California" it shall he mandatory upon the Contractor to whom the contract is awarded" and upon any subcontractor under him" to pay all laborers" workmen, or mechanics employed by them in the execution of the contract not less than the said specified rates, which rates shall be included in the contract to the successful bidder. Notice is further hereby given that all bidders may submit with their bids a sworn statement of their financial responsibility, technical ability and experience. Such sworn statement may be required before award is made to any particular bidder. To be entitled to consideration" each bid submitted pursuant to this notice shall be made out on a form to he obtained at the Office of the City Engineer; shall be accompanied by a certified check, draft or bid bond. payable at a bank authorized to do business in the State of California, made payable at sight to the City Clerk of the City of Vernon" in amount equal to ten per cent (100/0) of the bid submitted" shall he delivered to the City Clerk of the City of Vernon in a sealed envelope at, or before, the time stated herein" and must be plainly marked "Proposal for Contract No. 277". The above-mentioned check or bond shall be given as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract if awarded to him and will be declared forfeited if the successful bidder refuses or neglects to enter into a contract of the required form after being requested to do so by the City Clerk of the City of Vernon.
