RESOLUTION NO.
2528
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING MACHINE EQUIPMENT IN ACCORDANCE WITH SCHEDULE
V OF CONTRACT NO. 271 HERETOFORE APPROVED BY THE CITY OF
VERNON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS. on November 7" 1961, M. N. Thackaberry was
awarded the contract for furnishing machine equipment for the Public Works
Facility in accordance with Schedule V of Contract No. 271; and
WHEREAS, David D. Grayson" Traffic Engineer, has reported
to the City Council under date of February 1" 1962, that said machine
equipment has been received in a satisfactory manner. and that payment
should be made in accordance with the contract;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the machine equipment be" and the
same is hereby accepted as being satisfactory and in accordance with
Schedule V of Contract No. 271 heretofore approved by the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2:
That there is now due M. N. Thackaberry
the sum of $5, 142.29, and the remaining fifteen percent. or the sum of
$907.46, is payable thirty-five (35) days after the adoption of this resolution,
and the City Council hereby directs payment of the sum of $5,142.29 to said
Company upon the adoption of this Resolution, and the balance thirty-five
(35) days thereafter.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
