RESOLUTION NO.
2531
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE RECONSTRUCTION OF FRUITLAND AVENUE FROM
SOTO STREET TO DOWNEY ROAD" IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT
NO. 246 OF SAID CITY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, David D. Grayson, has reported to the City Council
under date of February 2, 1962" that the reconstruction of Fruitland Avenue
from Soto Street to Downey Road has been completed in accordance with
Contract No. 246; and
WHEREAS, David D. Grayson, has recommended that the work
be accepted and payment made to the Contractor in accordance with the
agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE"BE.IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the reconstruction of Fruitland Avenue
from Soto Street to Downey Road be, and the same is hereby accepted in
accordance with Contract No. 246 heretofore approved by the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2:
That partial payments in amount of $88~ 979.00
have been made, and the remaining fifteen percent, or the sum of $15, 702. 18
is payable thirty-five (35) days after the adoption of this resolution" and the
City Council hereby directs payment of said sum to the Contractor, Griffith
Company.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall.
certify to the passage of this Resolution, and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 6th day of February" 1962.
