RESOLUTION NO.
2538
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE BID OF SHERWIN ELECTRIC SERVICE FOR THE
3 INSTALLATION OF VEHICLE DETECTORS AT FRUITLAND AVENUE
AND SOTO STREET, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 277 OF
4 SAID CITY.
5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
6 WHEREAS" Contract No. 277 was approved by the City Council
7 of the City of Vernon by Resolution No. 2525 and pursuai1.t thereto sealed
8 bids were opened on February 20" 1962; and
9 WHEREAS" said bids were referred to David D. Grayson" Traffic
10 Engineer, who has reported to the City Council under date of February 21,
11 1962, recommending that a contract be awarded to Sherwin Electric Service
12 for the sum of $3" 876.00, it being the lowest bid received meeting the
13 contract requirements;

14 NOW~ THEREFORE" BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the City Council of the City of Vernon does
16 hereby award the contract in accordance with the recommendation of
17 David D. Grayson, Traffic Engineer" and authorizes the execution of a
18 contract with Sherwin Electric Service" 3229 Casitas Avenue. Los Angeles,
19 California, for the installation of vehicle detectors at Fruitland Avenue and
20 Soto Street" in accordance with Contract No. 277 heretofore approved by
21 the City Council.

SECTION 2:
That all other bids are rejected, and the City
23 Clerk is he reby instructed and directed to return all checks or drafts to
24 unsuccessful bidders.

SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon .shall certify
to the passage of this Resolution, and thereupon and thereafter the same
shall be in full force and effect.
