RESOLUTION NO. 2539
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
APPROVING CONTRACT NO. 276 AND PLAN NO. T 1646 FOR TRAFFIC
SIGNAL INSTALLATION AT THE INTERSECTION OF PACIFIC BOULEVARD
AND LEONIS BOULEVARD~ AND DETERMINING THE GENERAL PRE-
VAILING RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS" under date of March 23" 1962, David D. Grayson"
Traffic Engineer, presented Contract No. 276 to the City Council for
traffic signal installation at the intersection of Pacific Boulevard and Leonis
Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
investigated the general prevailing rate of per diem wages to be paid for
the work done under said Contract No. 276.
NOW. THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That Contract No. 276 and Plan No. T 1646
be, and the same are hereby approved for traffic signal inst.allation at the
inters.ection of Pacific Boulevard and Leonis Boulevard.
SECTION 2:
The City Council of the City of Vernon has
ascertained and does hereby find and declare that the general prevailing
rate per diem for wages for laborers" workmen and mechanics employed by
contractors and subcontractors" for the doing of any work set forth in
Contract No. 276" are those wage rate schedules contained in said Contract
No. 276.
SECTION 3 :
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 3rd day of April, 1962.
