RESOLUTION NO.
2541
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING PALLET RACKS FOR PUBLIC WORK FACILITY IN
ACCORDANCE WITH SCHEDULE IV OF CONTRACT NO. 271 HERETO-
FORE APPROVED BY THE CITY OF VERNON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS" on November 7~ 1961~ Petley" Inc. was awarded
the contract for furnishing pallet racks for the Public Works Facility in
accordance with Schedule IV of Contract No. 271; and
WHEREAS# David D. Grayson, Traffic Engineer, has reported
to the City Council under date of March 1a~ 1962, that said pallet racks
have been received in a satisfactory manner, and that payment should be
made in a{:cordance with the contract;
NOW, THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the pallet racks be~ and the same are
hereby accepted as being satisfactory and in accordance with Schedule IV of
Contract No. 271 heretofore approved by the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2:
That there is now due Petley~ Inc. the sum
of $6" 484. 74~ and the remaining fifteen percent, or the sum of $1, 144. 37"
is payable thirty-five days after the adoption of this resolution" and the City
Council hereby directs payment of the sum of$6~ 484. 74 to .said Company
upon the adoption of this resolution, and the balance thirty-five days
thereafter.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effe ct.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 20th day of 1\'Iarch# 1962.
