RESOLUTION NO. 2548

2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE CONSTRUCTION OF THE PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY,
3 IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 248 OF SAID CITY.
4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
5 WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has reported to the
6 City Council under date of March 29, 1962, that the construction of the
7 Public Works Facility has been completed in accordance with Contract
8 No. 248; and
9 WHEREAS, the Engineering Department has recommended that
10 the work be accepted and payment made to the Contractor in accordance with
11 the agreement;
12 NOW" THEREFORE" BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
That the construction of the Public Works
14 Facility be, and the same is hereby accepted in accordance with Contract
15 No. 248 heretofore approved by the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2:
That partial payments in amount of $286" 610.97
17 have been made, and the remaining fifteen percent, or the sum of $50, 578.41
18 is payable thirty-five (35) days after the adoption of this resolution, and the
19 City Council hereby directs payment of said sum to the Contractor" J. H.
20 Lipow Construction Company.

SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
22 certify to the passage of this Resolution" and thereupon and thereafter the
23 same shall be in full force and effect.
24 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 3rd day of April, 1962.
