RESOLUTION NO. 2551
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE BID OF ELECTRO CONSTRUCTION COMPANY FOR
THE INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS AT THE INTERSECTION
OF PACIFIC BOULEVARD AND LEONIS BOULEVARD~ IN ACCORD-
ANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 276 OF SAID CITY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, Contract No. 276 was approved by the City Council
of the City of Vernon by Resolution No. 2539 and pursuant thereto sealed
bids were opened on April 17, 1962; and
WHEREAS, said bids. were referred to David D. Grayson,
Traffic Engineer, who has reported to the City Council under date of April
25, 1962. recommending that a contract be awarded to Electro Construction
Company for the sum of $16,969.00, it being the lowest bid received meeting
the contract requirements;
NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:

That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby award the contract in accordance with the recommendation of
David D. Grayson, Traffic Engineer. and authorizes the execution of a
contract with Electro Constru ction Company, 122 N. Larchmont, Los
Angeles 4, California, for the installation of traffic signals at the intersection
of P'acific Boulevard and Leonis Boulevard, in accordance with Contract No.
276 heretofore approved by the City Council.
SECTION 2:

Tnat all other bids are rejected, and the City
23 Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to return all checks or drafts to
24 unsuccessful bidders.
