RESOLUTION NO. 2554
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE ClTY'OF VERNON
APPROVING CONTRACT NO. 274 AND PLANS NUMBERED T-1647
AND P-1670 FOR THE INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS AND
STREET IMPROVEMENTS AT THE INTERSECTION OF ATLANTIC
BOULEVARD AND DISTRICT BOULEVARD~ AND DETERMINING THE
GENERAL PREVAILING RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, under date of May 8, 1962, David D. Grayson,
Traffic Engineer, presented Contract No. 274 to the City Council for
installation of traffic signals and street improvements at the intersection
of Atlantic Boulevard and District Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has investigate
the general prevailing rate of per diem wages to be paid for the work done
under said Contract No. 274.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That Contract No. 274 and Plans Numbered
T-1647 and P-1670 be, and the same are hereby approved for installation
of traffic signals and street improvements at the intersection of Atlantic
Boulevard and District Boulevard.
SECTION 2:
The City Council of the City of Vernon ha.s
ascertained and does hereby find and declare that the general prevailing
rate per diem for wages for laborers, workmen and mechanics employed by
contractors and subcontractors, for the doing of anyw ork set forth in
Contract No. 274 are those wage rate schedules contained in said Contract
No. 274.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall certify
to the passage of this resolution and thereupon and thereafter the same shall
be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 15th day of May, 1962.
