A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
DIRECTING TIlE GIVING OF NOTICE INVITING SEALED PIWPOSALS
OR l:llDSFOR li'URNISHING TWO DUMP TRUCKS" IN ACCORDANCE
WITH CONTMCT NO. 278 OF TlIE CITY OF VERNON.
THE. CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is: hereby
8 directed to give notice inviting s:.ealed proposals or bids. for furnishing two
9 dump trucks in accordance with Contract No. 278, and the Notice Inviting
10 Sealed Propoaals. contained in said Contract No.:178.

There being no newspaper of general circula-
Uon p.rinted, published and circulated in tne City of Vernon" the City Clerk
is hereby directed tOe post said notice, or cause th.esame to be posted, in
three (3) of the most public places in sAid City, to wit: at the norlhwest
corner of 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue; at the northeast corner of
Leonia Boulevard and Pacific Boulevard, and on the bWlet:i,n board in the
lobby of the City Hall of the City of Vernon, located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue
in said City.
SECTION 3 :
The first posting of said noticeshaJ.l be not
les.s than t.en (1 O}da;ys before the date of opening hids for the proposed
equipment. The noUceshall distincUystate the equipment to be purchased.
SECTION 4:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to ,the pass:ageof this nesolution, and thereupon and tltereafter the
same shall be in fl111 force and effect.

6 proposals. or bio.s will be reeeiyed by the City of Yerno~ California., at the
7 offiee of the Ci~yClerk of said CitYt .at th.e City Hall, 4306 Sa.nta Fe Avenue,
8 until the hQur of tw.o (2) o'c1o.ck p. M., on the 7th day of August, 1962, for

The .equipment shall be in accordance with. Contract No. 278
heretoforeapp:roved by the City Council of said City. and now on file in th.e
office of the City Clerk of said City, a copy of which may be secured from the
City Engineer of said City.
Notice is .also hereby given that, pursuant t.o said Labor Code of
California. it s-hall be. mandatory upon tb.e Contraetor to wb.om theoomract
is awarded, .andupon any subcontractor undernim. to pay all laborers,
workmen, ormecb.anicsemployed by them in the execution of tb.e contract
not less than. tn:esaid ape-clfied rates, which rates shall be included in the
