RESOLUTION NO. 2579
A RESOLUTION OF THE: CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
APPROVING CONTRACT NO. 283 AND PLAN NO.T 1678 FOR TRAFFIC
SIGNAL INSTALLATION AT THE INTERSECTION OF PACIFIC BOULE-
vARD AND FRUITLAND AVENUE, AND DETERMINING THE GENERAL
PREV AILING RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, under date of November 1, 1962, David D. Grayson,
Traffic Engineer, preaented Contract No. 283 to the CityCouncll for
traffic signal installation at the intersection of Pacific Boulevard and
Fruitland Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has .investigated
the general prevailing rate of per diem wages to be paid for the work done
under s.aid Contract No. 283;
NOW. THEREFORE, BE IT R.ESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That Contract No. 283 and Plan No. T 1678 be,
.;l;1e same are he rehy approved f.or traffic signal installation at the
ectiolt of Pacific Boulevard and Fruitland Avenue.
SECTION 2:
The City Council of the City of Vernon has
ascertained and does hereby find and declare that the general prevailing
rate per diem for wages for laborers, workmen and mechanics employed by
contractors and subcontractors, for the doing of any work set forth in
Contract No. 283 are those wage rate schedules contained in said Contract
No. 283.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage Qf this resolution and thereupon and thereafter the same
shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 7th day of November, 1962.
