A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE ClTYOF VERNON
APPROVING CONTRACT NO. 282 AND PLANS NUMl3E~ P-1673#
P-1674 AND P-167 5 FOR THE RECONSTlWCTION OF 52ND, 53RD,
54TH. AND 57TH<STREETS, .SANTA FE AVENUE TOEA$T CITY
BOUNDARY, AND MALABAR STREET # FRUITLAND AVENUE TO
52ND STREET, AND DETERMINING THE GE.NEMLPR$VAILING
RATE OF PER DIEM WAGES.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS# under date of September 26. 1962# David D.
Grayson. Traffic Engineer, presented Contract No. 282 to the CityCouncU
for the reconstruction of 52nd, 53rd# 54th" and 57th Streets, Santa Fe
Avenue to East City Boundary, and Malabar Street, Fruitland. Avenue to
52nd Street; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Vernon has
investigated the general prevailing rate of per diem wages to be paid .for
th.e work done under said Contract No. 282;
NOW, THEREFORE, BElT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:

That COntract No. 282 and Plans Numbered
P-1673. P...1674 and p-1675 be, and the same are hereby approved for the
reconstruetion of 52nd, 53ra, 54th and 51th. streets. Santa Fe Avenl1e to
East. City Bound.ary, and Malabar Street, Fruitland Avenue to 52nd Street.
SECTION .2:
The City Council of the City of Vernon has
ascertained and does hereby find .a.nd declare that the general prevailing rate
per diem for wages for laborers. workmen and mechanics employed by
contractors and .s.ubcontraetors, for thedolng of any work aet fo.rth.: in
Contract No. 282 are those wage rate schedules contained in said Contract
No. 282.
SE:CTION3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this res:oluUonand thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
