A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
DIR,ECTINGTHE GIVING OF NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS
OR BIDS F.OR TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLATION AT THE INTERSECTION
OF SANTA FE AVENUE. AND 38TH STREET. IN.ACCOlUlANCE WITH
CONTRACTNO. 2.91 OF THE CITY OF VERNON.
THE .CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is
hereby direeted t~ give notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for traffi~
signal installation at the intersection of Santa Fe Avenu.e and 38th Street,
in accordance with Contract No. 291 of the City of Vernon, and the Notice
Inviting Sealed Proposals or Bids contained in said Contract No. 291.
SECTION 2:
There being no newspaper of generalclreula-
tion printed, published and circulated in the City of Vernon, the City Clerk
is hereby directed to post said notice, or cause th.e same to be posted, in
three (3) of the most public places in said City, to wit: The northwest
corner()f 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue; the northeas.tcorner of Leonis
Boulevard and Pacific Boulevard, and on the bulletin board in the lobby.of
theCUy Hall of the City of Vernon, located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue in said
City.

SECTION 4:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution, and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full forceaadeffect.

38TH STREET. IN ACCORJ)ANCE WITH CON-
TRACT NO. 291 OF THE CITY OF VERNON.
Pursuant to Resolution No. 2.605 of the City of Verno.n, ad()pted
on the 15th. day of January, 1963. directing same, notice is hereby given
that sealed proposals or bids will be received by the City of Vernon, Californi .
at the office of the City Clerk, 4305 Santa' Fe Avenue, until the h.our of two
(2) o'clock P.M.,on the 5th day of February, 1963, for traffic signal in-
stallation at.Santa.Fe Avenue and 38th Street,. in accordance with CQntract
No. 2$1 approved by s:ai,d City. The proposals will be publicly opened and
read in the Council Ch.ambe:rs located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue, Vern.o~
California, on the date and at the time mentioned above. Specificatio:nB
and contract documents may be obtained at the office of the City Clerk upon
payment of ten dollars ($1(). (0) .for each specification.
Theconstruc.t ion to be done ~d materials to be furnished under
Contract No. 291 are approximately as follows: .removeextstingsignals.
install new sign.a1s, foundations, controller, cabinets, conduit,conductors,
vehicle and pedestrian detectors, and do all appurtenant work as shown on
Plan No. T 1.693:.
The coutruction shall be in accordance with Plan No. T 1493
and Contract No. 291 heretofore approved by the City Council of the said
C1ty,.a.n.dnow on fUe in the office: of the City Clerk, a copy.ot' which may be
secured from theotfice of the City Engineer.
Bidders. are hereby notified that, pursuant to the provisions. of
