A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE PUMP AND MOTOR FOR WELL NO. 14. IN
ACCORDANCE WITH SCHEDULE IOF CONTRACT NO. 264 OF SAID
CITY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, on February 20, 1962, Layn1e and Bowler Pump
Company was awarded the contract for pump and motor for Well No. 14,
in accordance with Schedule I of Contract No. 264; and
:
WHEREAS, Robert H. King, Superintendent of Water and Sewer
Syst.ems. has reported to the City Council under date of December 28,
1962, that work has been completed and recommends that th.e work be
accepted and payment made to the Contractor in accordance with the
agreement;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE:.IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the pump and motor for Well No. 14
be, and the same are hereby accepted in accordance with Schedule I of
Contract No. 264 heretofore approved by the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2:
That partial payments in amount of
$9,506.62 have been made, a partial payment of $1,056.30 is now payable,
and the remaining fifteen percent, or the sum of $1,864.04, is payable
thirty-five (35) days after the adoption of this resolution, and the City
Council hereby directs payment of said sums to the Contractor, Layne
and Bowler Pump Company.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution, and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be ill full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 2nd day of January, 1963.
