RESOLUTION NO. 2613
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
EXPRESSING APPRECIATION TO LIONEL J. SORACCO FOR HIS
DEVOTION AND .SERVICE TO SAID CITY AND COMMEMORATING
HIS RETIR,EMENT.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, a city is enriched in spirit and strength by the
devotian- of its people; and
WHEREAS, the City of Vernon h.as been abundantly fartunate
aver the years in the great number af m.en and wamen who have given
unselfishly of their time.. thought.. and effort for the general welfare af
the City; and
WHEREAS.. ane among them whose devotian has been outstanding
since he came to' Vern.on in October, 1925; and
WHEREM, hiscreativi.ty and interest have been demanstrated
in innumerable . ways, tangible and intangible, enhancing gaod gavernment,
effi?iency, and prosperity in Vernan; and
WHEREAS, thO' ugh young in heart, spirit.. and vitality, he is
~tiring an January 31, 1963, from Bethlehem. Steel Company, Pacific
Division, the company that has claimed his professtanal interest since
youngmanhoad, and cansequently is retiring fromadive Hie in the City af
Vernon;
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That... with much warmth.. we express aur
deep appreciatian to Lionel.J. (Tony} SaraccO', and extend best wishes far
a lang and happy retirement.
SECTION 2:
The City Clerk af the Cityaf Vernon shall
certify to' .the passage af this resalutian and thereupon and thereafter Ute
same shall be in full farce and effect.
