A RESOLUTION OF THBCITY. COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING. THE BIl)OF ALLEN ENGINEERING COMPANY FOR. THE
INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS A'l'TREINTERSECTIo.N OF
SANTA FE AVENUE AND 38TH STREET~ .rn ACCORDANCE WITH
CONTRACT NO.. 2.91 OF SAID CITY.
THE CITY COUNC.IL 'OF THE CITY OF VER.NON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEaEAS. Contraet NO'. 291 was approved by the c~tyCoUncil
of the City of Vernon by Resolution NO'. 2604 and pursuant theretO' s-ealed
bid$. were opened on February5~ 1963; and
WHE:a.EAS. said bids were referred to David GraysQ~ Traffic
Engineer, whO' b.asreported to' the City Council under date of Februa.ry 8,
1963. recO'mmending. that a.contract be awarded to Allen Engineering
CQmpazry, for tb.es.um of $10, 688.00, it being the lowest bid received meeting
the contract requirements;
NOW. THEREFOR.E. BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the City CO'uncil of the City of Vernon
16 does. hereby award the contract itt accordance with the recommendation of
17 David D. GraysO'Q., Traffic Engineer, and au.thorizestheexecutlon O'f a
18contractwithAlleg. Engineering Company, for the installatiO'n O'f traffic
19 signals at th.e intersection of. Santa Fe Avenue and 38th. Street. in aecordance
20 with. Contract No. 291 b.eretofO're approved by the CityCO'unci1.
