A RESOLUTION OF THE CITYCOWCIL OF THE CITYOFVElWON
ACC:SPTING THE ~m OF WILLIAM R.. HAHN FOR THE INSTALLATION
OF TltA.FFIC SIGNALS AT THE INTEBSECTIONOF ALCOA AVENUE
ANDSLA.USON AVENUE" IN ACCORDANCE WITIICONTRACT NO. 287
OF SA.lI)CLTY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNO.N RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, C()ntra.et No. 287 was approved by the City Council
of the City of Vernon by Res.olu:tlon No. 261 7 a.nd pursuant thereto sealed
bids were opened on. February 19, 1963; and
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to Da.vid D. OraysCln, TI'1rlfie
Engineer, who has :reported to the City Council under date of February 20,
1963, recomm.ending: that aeontraet be awarded to William R. Ha.hn. for the
sum o! $10, 476. 00" it being the lowest bid received meeting the contract
requirem.ents;
NOW.THEB.EFOU" BE IT :RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the City Council Q:f the City of Vernon d~s
hereby award the contract in accordance with the recommendation of David
D. Grayson, Traffic Engineer, and authorizes the execution of aeontraet
with William R. Hahn, P.O. Box 2542, .5antaFe Springs, California, for
tb.e installation of traffic s.igna.lsat the intersection of Alcoa Aven.ue and
Slauson. Avenue, tn. accordance with Contra.ct No. 287 heretofore approved
by tne City Council.
SECTION 2.:
That all other bids. are rejected. and the City
Clerk is: hereby instructed and directed tore-turn all eneeks or drafts .to
UR$u:cce$sful bidders.
SECTION 3:
The City. .clerk of the City of Vernon shall. certify
to. the passage of thijJResolution., and thereupon and therelitfter the same
sAall be in. full foree and effect.
