A RESOLUTIQNOF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
AUTHO~NQTBE MAYOR. AND CITY CLE:RK TOSIGN.AN APPUCATION
TO TREPUBLIC UTIUTIESCOMMISSION OF THE . STATE OF CALIFORNIA
FOR AL.LOCATION OF FUNDS FROM CROSSING PROTECTION FUND.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WBER.EAS, under date of February 28, 1963, David D. Grayson,
Traffic Engineer, recommended to the City Council that application be made
to tnePublic Utilities Commission for allocation of funds to install two
No.8 flashing 1ightsignalsat Crossing N().25.-1. 67 ~C)>n Soto Street
approxin:tately 300 feet northerly of Fruitla.nd Avenue.
WHEREAS, the City C()uncil of the City of Vernon deems it
advisable to install such signals;
NOW.THE.REFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the Mayor and CltyClerk be, and they
are hereby authorued to execute for and on behalf of the City of Vernon, all
necessary documents of the City of Vernon to the Public utilities Commission
for allocation of funds frQm the Crossing Protection Fund. in accordance
with the procedure 'established by said. Commission.
SECTION 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the pass.age of this Resoluti-on and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in fullf()rce and effect.
