LABELS BY CAND.IDATES FOR:MUNICIP AL .OFFICES.
THE CITy COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1:
That the City CouneUof the City of Vern()n
op-poses the enactrn.entof any legislation similar to Assembly Bill No. 755
and 'llI.Tges tnatevery effort bem.ade to defeat any measure. bill or resolution
w blc.h would permttthe use of partisan pQ:1iticallabels by candidates for
municipl1lofficesand it further recommends that oth.er cities of the state
of California be alerted to the danger an.d consequences of such legislation
which wouldnoi: be in the best interest of the citizens of this State.
