A R.E$OLU"rION OF THE CITY COUNCIL. OF. THE CIn OF VEaNON
IN.OBSERVANCE OF LAW DAY U.S.A. ON MAY 1, 1963.
THE crrYCOUNClI., OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the Congress of the United States \by joint resolution
designated as Law DayU.S..A. the first day of each Mayas asignlficant
answer to Communia:m's.May Day demonstrations; and
WHEB.EAS, .Law Day U.S.A. is intended to call upon our people
to red-edicate themselves.to ideals of equality and justice in their relations
with one another; and
WHER:EAS, John F. Kennedy, President of the United States of
Amer1.ea h.as: requested the people ofou.r country to observ:e the first day
of May, 196.3 with. appropriate ceremonies and observances;
NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:

That Wednesday, May 1, 1963, is hereby
