A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VE:RNON
ACCEPTlNa THE HInOF U. S. PUMPS. INC. FORREPLACE:MENT
OF FOUlt SJXTY -HORSEPOWElt PUMPS AT BOOSTER PLANTS'rWO
AND THREE. IN ACCORDANCE WlTH CONTRACT NO. 296 OF SAID
CITY.
T}I~ CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VlQ:RNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS. C<;m.tract No.. 296 was appro.ved by tb:e CityCouncU
of the City ofVer:tlOu by Res~lution No. 2648 and pursu.al1t thel:'eto $e.aled
bids- were opened on A.ugWit 6, 1963; and
WHEREAS, said bids were referred to R. H. King, Superintel'lden
of Water and Sewer Systems, who aa1i reported to the City Council under date
of AugWit 7. 19 63, recommending th.a.ta contract beaw arded to u. s. Pl,Unps.
Inc., for the sum: of$2, ZOO.OO, it being the lowest bid received meeting the
contract requirements;
NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That tb.e CltyCouncU of the City of Yernon
16 does here-by award the contract in accordan.ce with tae recoII1I11enda.tion of
17 R. H. King. Superintendent Qf Water &: Sewer Systems, and a.uthorizes the:
18 execution Dfacol1tractwithU. S. Pumps" Inc.. 2324 E. 49th street~ Vernon,
19 California,for replacement of four sixty-horsepower pumps at Boo.ster
20 Plants Two and Three, in accordance with Contract No. 296 beretofore
21 approved by the City-Council.
