RESOLUTION NO. 2666
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE REMODELING OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS AT SANTA FE
AVENUE AND 38TH STREET ~ IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT
NO. 291 OF SAID CITY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS~ D. D. GRAYSON, Traffic Engineer, has reported
to the City Council under date of August 16, 1963, that the remodeling of
the traffic signals at Santa Fe Avenue and 38th Street has been completed
in accordance with Contract No. 291 and
WHEREAS D. D. Grayson has recommended that the work be
accepted and payment made to the Contractor in accordance with the agree-
ment.
NOW~ THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the remodeling of traffic signals at
Santa Fe Avenue and,~~th Street be, and the same is hereby accepted in
accordance with Contract No. 291 heretofore approved by the City of Ve:tnon.
SECTION 2:
That partial payments in amount of $9,084. 80
have been made, and the remaining fifteen percent, or the sum of $1,603.20
is payable thirty-five (35) days after the adoption of this resolution, and
the City Council hereby directs payment of said sum to the Contractor,
ALLEN ENGINEERING COMPANY.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution, and thereupon and thereafter the
same shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVEP this 17th day of September, 1963.
