RESOLUTION NO. 2668
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE BID OF WESTA TES ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION
COMPANY FOR MODIFICATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS AT THE INTER-
SECTION OF SANTA FE AVENUE AND 38TH STREET, IN ACCORDANCE
WITH CONTRACT NO. 300 OF SAID CITY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE aITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
7 WHEREAS, Contract No. 300 was approved by the City Council
8 of the City of Vernon by Resolution No. 2659 and pursuant thereto sealed

bids were opened on September 3, 1963 and
WHEREAS, said b ids were referred to DAVID D. GRAYSON, Traffic
Engineer, who has reported to the City Council under date of September 16,
1963, recommending that a contract be awarded to WESTATES ELECTRICAL
CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, for the sum of $2,935.00, it being the lowest
bid received meeting the contract requirements;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the City Council of the City of Vernon does
hereby award the contract in accordance with the recommendation of DAVID
D. GRAYSON, Traffic Engineer, and authorizes the execution of a contract
with WESTATES ELECTRICAL CONSTRUCTION COMPANY, 8900 Bellanca
Avenue, Los Angeles 45, California, for modification of traffic signals at
the intersection of Santa Fe Avenue and 38th Street, in accordance with
Contract No. 300 heretofore approved by the City Council.
SECTION 2:
That all other bids are rejected, and the City
Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to return all checks or drafts to
unsuccessful bidders.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall certify to
the passage of this Resolution, and thereupon and thereafter, the same
shall be in full force and effect.
