A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON ACCEPTING THE BID OF BOSKO CON-
STRUCTION. FOR CONSTRUCTION OF SANITARY SEWERS.
IN SANTA FE AVENUE FROM 25TH STREET to 37TH
STREET. IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 256 OF
THE CITY OF VERNON
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS. Contract No. 256 was approved by the City Council
of the City of Vernon by Resolution No. 2673 . and pursuant thereto. sealed
bids were opened on October 1. 1963. and
WHEREAS. said bids were referred to ARTHUR E. NELSON. JR..
City Engineer. who has reported to the City Council under date of October
1. 1963. recommending that a contract be awarded to BOSKO CONSTRUCTION.
8520 Fishman Road. Pico Rivera. California. for the sum of $97.363.50.
it being the lowest bid received meeting the contract requirements.
NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION '1:

That the City Council of the City of Vernon
does hereby award the contract in accordance with the recommendation of
Arthur E. Nelson. Jr.. City Engineer. and authorizes the execution of a
contract with BOSKO CONSTRUCTION. for the construction of sanitary
sewers (25th Street to 37th Street). in accordance with Contract No. 256
heretofore approved by the City Council.
SECTION '2:
That all other bids are rejected. and the City
Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to return all checks or drafts to
unsucc.essful bidders.
SECTION 3 :
L
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution. and thereupon and thereafter. the
same shall be in full force and effect.
