RESOLUTION NO. 2676
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE WORK OF REPLACING FOUR 60 HORSE POWER PUMPS
AT BOOSTER PLANTS TWO AND THREE.. IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CONTRACT NO. 296 OF SAID CITY.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS.. R. H. KING, Superintendent of Water & Sewer Systems,
has reported to the Ci ty Council under date of November 8, 1963, that the
work of replacement of Four 60 Horse Power Pumps at Booster Plants
Two and Three has been completed in accordance with Contract No. 296,
and,
WHEREAS.. R. H. KING has recommended that the work be accepted
and payment made to the Contractor in accordance with the agreement.
NOW.. THEREFORE.. BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the work of replacement of Four
60 Horse Power Pumps at Booster Plants Two and Three be, and the same
is hereby accepted in accordance with Contract No. 296 heretofore approved
by the City of Vernon.
SECTION '2:
The total contract price is $2200. 00.
That a partial payment of $1870.00 has been made and the remaining fifteen
percent, or the sum of $330.00 is payable thirty-five (35) days after
adoption of this resolution and the City Council hereby directs payment of
said sum to the Contractor U. S. PUMPS.. INC., in accordance with said
agreement.
SECTION ;3 :
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon
shall certify to the passage of this Resolution, and thereupon and thereafter
the same shall be in full force and effect.
