RESOLUTION NO. 2681
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE BID OF INTERNATIONAL HARVESTER COMPANY FOR
THE FURNISHING OF ONE SURVEY TRUCK. IN ACCORDANCE WITH
CONTRACT NO. 302.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS. Contract No. 302 was approved by the City Council of
the City of Vernon by Resolution No. 2674. and pursuant thereto sealed bids
were opened on January 7. 1964; and
WHEREAS. said bids were referred to A. E. Nelson. Jr.. City
Engineer. who has reported to the City Council under date of January 7, 1964.
recommending that a contract be awarded to International Harvester Company
for the sum of $2.441.98, it being the lowest bid received meeting the contract
requirements;
NOW. THEREFORE" BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the City Council of the City of Vernon does
16 hereby award the contract in accordance with the recommendation of A. E.
17 Nelson. Jr.. and authorizes the execution of a contract with International
18 Harvester Company for furnishing one survey truck. in accordance with Contrac
19 No. 302 heretofore approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2:
That all other bids are rejected. and the City
21 Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to return all checks or drafts to
22 unsuccessful bidders.

SECTION 3 :
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
24 certify to the passage of this Resolution. and thereupon and thereafter the same
25 shall be in full force and effect.
26 ADOPTED AND APPROVED this 21st day of January. 1964.
