RESOLUTION NO. 2684
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF VERNON~ CALIFORNIA~ REQUESTING THE
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF LOS
ANGELES TO PERMIT THE REGISTRAR OF VOTERS
OF SAID COUNTY TO RENDER SPECIFIED SERVICES
TO THE CITY OF VERNON~ CALIFORNIA~ RELATING
TO THE CONDUCT OF A GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELEC...
TION TO BE HELDINSAIPCITY ON APRIL14~1964.

8 . WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election is to be held in the City
9 of Vernon, California on April 14, 1964; and
10 WHEREAS" in the course of conduct of said election and in relation
11 thereto it w~ll be necessary to mail sample ballots and polling place inserts to
12 the registered voters of the City" and it will facilitate such mailing if the
13 Registrar of Voters of the County of Los Angeles will prepare and furnish the
14 City the imprinting of the names and addresses of the registered voters of
15 said City on I. B. M. polling place inserts furnished by the City and after
16 bursting the forms, will insert the polling place insert and sample ballot into
17 envelopes~ all to be furnished by the City; and
18 WHEREAS" all necessary expense in performing this service shall
19 be paid by the City of Vernon, California;
20 NOW" THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Vernon,
21 California" does hereby ltESOLVE" DETERMINE AND ORDER, as follows:

SECTION 1:
That pursuant to the provisions of Section 22003
of the Elections Code of the State of California, this City Council hereby
requests the Board of Supervisors of said County to permit the Registrar of
Voters to prepare and furnish to said City" for use in conducting said election
to be held on April 14, 1964" the imprinting of the names and addresses of the
registered voters of said City on I. B. M. polling place inserts furnished by the
City and after bursting the forms" to insert the polling place insert and sample
b allots into envelopes" all to be furnished by the City.
SECTION 2:
That said City shall reimburse said County for
services performed when the work is completed and upon presentation to the
City of a properly approved bill.

SECTION 3:
That the City Clerk is hereby directed to
2 forward without delay to said Board of Supervisors and to said Registrar of
3 VotersJt each a certified copy of this Resolution.
