1 RESOLUTION NO. 2685
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
ACCEPTING THE WORK0F CONSTRUCTING 38TH STREET EAST OF SANTA
3 FE A VENUE. IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 297 OF SAID CITY.
4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
5 WHEREAS. D. D. Grayson, Traffic Engineer. has reported to tD-e
6 City Council under date of January 28, 1964 that the work of constructing 38th
7 Street east of Santa Fe Avenue has been completed, and
8 WHEREAS, D. D. Grayson has recommended that the work be
9 accepted and payment made to the contractor in accordance with the agreemen .
10 NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
That the work of constructing 38th Street east
12 of Santa Fe Avenue be. and the same is hereby accepted in accordance with
13 Contract No. 297 heretofore approved by the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2:
That partial payments in the amount of
15 $23,118.71 have been made, and the remaining fifteen percent, or the amount
16 of $4.079.77, is payable thirty-five (35) days after the adoption of this
17 Resolution. and the City Council hereby directs payment of said sum to the
18 contractor, GRIFFI'IU COMPANY.

SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
20 certify to the passage of this Resolution. and thereupon and thereafter the
21 same shall be in full force and effect.
22 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 5th day of February. 1964.
