2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPT
ING THE BID OF SHERWIN ELECTRIC SERVICE FOR REMODELING TRAFFI
3 SIG NALS AT THE INTERSECTION OF DOWNEY ROAD AND FRUITLAND
AVE NUE II IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 299 .

5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
6 WHEREAS, Contract No. 299 was approved by the City Council of
7 the City of Vernon by Resolution No. 269111 and pursuant thereto sealed bids
8 were opened on April 7,? 1964; and
9 WHEREAS, said bids were referred to D. D. GRA YSONII Traffic
10 Engineer.. who has reported to the City Council under date of April 9,? 1964,
11 recommending that a contract be awarded to Sherwin Electric Service for the
12 sum of $5.274.00. it being the lowest bid received meeting the contract require
13 ments;
14 NOW# THEREFORE# BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
That the City Council of the City of Vernon does
16 hereby award the contract in accordance with the recommendation of D. D.
17 GRA YSONII and authorized the execution of a contract with Sherwin Electric
18 Service for remodeling traffic signals at the intersection of Downey Road and
19 Fruitland Avenuell in accordance with Contract No. 299 heretofore approved by
20 the City Council of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2:
That all other bids are rejected# and the City
22 Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to return..all checks or drafts to
23 unsuccessful bidders.

SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution. and thereupon and thereafter the same
shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 21 st day of April,? 1964.
