2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPT
ING THE INSTALLATION OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS AT ALCOA AVENUE AND
3 FRUITLAND A VENUEII IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 288 OF SAID
CITY.

5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
6 WHEREAS. D. D. Grayson, Traffic Engineer. has reported to the
7 City Council under date of April 24. 1964. that the work of installing traffic
8 signals at Alcoa Avenue and Fruitland Avenue has been completed in accordanc
9 with Contract No. 288. and
lO WHEREAS. D. D. Grayson has recommended that the work be
11 accepted and payment made to the Contractor in accordance with the agreement
12 NOW,? THEREFORE,? BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
That the installation of traffic signals at Alcoa
14 Avenue and Fruitland Avenue be. and the same is hereby accepted in accordanc
15 with Contract No. 288 heretofore approved by the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2:
That partial payment in the amount of $9.311. 20
17 has been made. a final partial payment in the amount of $1# 034. 57 is now due
18 and payable. and the remaining fifteen percent (l5%),? or the sum of $111 825. 73.
19 is payable thirty-five (35) days after adoption of this Resolutionll and the City
20 Council hereby directs payment of said sums to the Contractor,? Westates
21 Electrical Construction Company.

SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
23 certify to the passage of this Resolution. and thereupon and thereafter the same
24 shall be in full force and effect.
25 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 28th day of April# 1964.
