2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPT
ING THE BID OF DION ROOF COMPANY FOR REROOFING THIRTEEN CITY
3 HOUSES ~ IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 306.
4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
5 WHEREAS. Contract No. 306 was approved by the City Council of
6 the City of Vernon by Resolution No. 269511 and pursuant thereto sealed bids
7 were opened on May 5# 1964; and
8 WHEREAS,? said bids were referred to Arthur E. Nelsonll Jr.. City
9 Engineerll who has reported to the City Council under date of May 11. 196411
10 recommending that a contract be awarded to DionRoof Company for the sum of
11 $311 075.0011 it being the lowest bid received meeting the contract requirements;
12 NOWII THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
That the City Council of the City of Vernon does
14 hereby award the contract in accordance with the recommendation of Arthur E.
15 Nelson. Jr. , and authorized the execution of a contract with Dion Roof Compan
16 for reroofing thirteen city houses,? in accordance with Contract No. 306 hereto-
17 fore approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2:
That all other bids are rejectedll and the City
19 Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to return all checks or drafts to
20 unsuccessful bidders.

SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
22 certify to the passage of this Resolution,? and thereupon and thereafter the same
23 shall be in full force and effect.
