RESOLUTION NO. 2708
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO SIGN AN APPLICATION
3 TO THE PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
FOR ALLOCATION FROM CROSSING PROTECTION FUND.

5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
6 WHEREAS. under date of May ll,? 1964. D. D. Grayson. Traffic
7 Engineer. recommended to the City Council that application be made to the
8 Public Utilities Commission for allocation of funds to install two No. 8 flashing
9 light signals at Crossing No. 25""1. 22-C on Soto Street between 44th and 46th
10 Streetsl and a similar installation of two No. 8 flashing light signals at Cross-
11 ing No. 25-1. 56-C on Soto Street between 46th Street and Leonis Boulevard;
12 and
13 WHEREAS~ the City Council of the City of Vernon deems it advis-
14 able to install such signals;
15 NOWII THEREFOREII BE IT RESOLVED:

That the Mayor and City Clerk be. and they are
SECTION 1:
17 hereby authorized to execute for and on behalf of the City of V ernon~ all
18 necessary documents of the City of Vernon to the Public Utilities Commission
19 for allocation of funds from the Crossing Protection Fund. in accordance with
20 the procedure established by said Commission.

The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
SECTION 2:
22 certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the same
23 shall be in full force and effect.
