2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON APPROV
ING CONTRACT NO. 308 FOR THE FURNISHING OF ONE 2" 000 GALLON PER
3 MINUTE TRIPLE COMBINATION PUMPER AND DIRECTING THE GIVING OF
NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS OR BIDS IN ACCORDANCE WITH
4 CONTRACT NO. 308 OF THE CITY OF VERNON.
5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
6 WHEREAS" under date of July 2" 1964" L. C. HUSTED" Fire Chief
7 submitted to the City Council Contract No. 308 for the furnishing of one 21000
8 Gallon Per Minute Triple Combination Pumper and recommended approval
9 thereof;
10 NOW~ THEREFOREI BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
That Contract No. 308 be" and the same is hereby
12 approved for the furnishing of one 21 000 Gallon Per Minute Triple Combination
13 Pumper for use of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is hereby
15 directed to give notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for furnishing one
16 21 000 Gallon Per Minute Triple Combination Pumper in accordance with Con-
17 tract No. 3081 and the Notice Inviting Sealed Proposals contained in said Con-
18 tract No. 308.

SECTION 3:
There being no newspaper of general circulation
20 printedl published and circulated in the City of Vernon~ the City Clerk is
21 hereby directed to post said Notice~ or cause the same to be posted" in three
22 {3} of the most public places in said CitYI to wit: at the northwest corner of
23 38th Street and Santa Fe Avenue; at the northeast corner of Leonis Boulevard
24 I and Pacific Boulevard; and on the bulletin board in the lobby of the City Hall of
25 the City of Vernon" located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue in said City.

The first posting of said Notice shall be not less

than ten (l0) days before the date of opening bids for the proposed equipment.
The Notice shall distinctly state the equipment to be purchased.
SECTION 5:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall certify
to the passage of this Resolutionl and thereupon and thereafter the same shall
be in full force and effect.

GALLON PER MINUTE TRIPLE COM-
BINATION PUMPER.. IN ACCORDANCE
WITH CONTRACT NO. 308 OF THE CITY
OF VERNON.
Pursuant to Resolution No. 2718 of the City of Vernon" adopted on
6 the 7th day of JulYI 19641 directing samel notice is hereby given that sealed
7 proposals will be received by the City of Vernon~ California at the City Clerkts
8, office of said City at 4305 Santa Fe Avenuel Vernon 581 Californial until 2:00
9 P. M. on July 211 19641 for furnishing one 21000 gallon per minute Triple
10 Combination Pumper. The proposals will be publicly opened and read in the
11 Council Chambers of the City Hall located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue" Vernon~
12 California" on the date and at the time above mentioned. Specifications and
13 contract documents may be obtained at the above mentioned office of the City
14 Clerk upon payment of a deposit of ten dollars ($10. OO) for each specification.
15 The equipment to be furnished under this specification is as follows
16 One 21000 Gallon Per Minute Triple Combination Pumper.
17 Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified or cashierts
18 check or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the estimated aggregate
19 amount of the bid as a guaranty that the bidder~ if an award is made in accor-
20 dance with the terms of his proposal" will promptly execute a contract in the
21 required form" and furnish a satisfactory bond for the faithful performance of
22 the contract.
23 The City reserves the right to reject any or all bidsl to waive any
24 informality in any bid.. and to make awards as the interests of the City may
25 require. This notice is given by order of the City Council.
