2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPT
ING THE BID OF SULLY-MILLER CONTRACTING COMPANY FOR 25TH
3 STREET RECONSTRUCTION" SANTA FE AVENUE TO ALAMEDA STREET"
IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 270.

5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
6 WHEREAS~ Contract No. 270 was approved by the City Council of
7 the City of Vernon by Resolution No. 2715~ and pursuant thereto sealed bids
S were opened on August 4" 1964; and"
9 WHEREAS" said bids were referred to D. D. Grayson~ Traffic
10 Engineer" who has reported to the City Council under date of August 12~ 1964~
11 recommending that a contract be awarded to Sully-Miller Contracting Company
12 for the sum of $711 269. 77" ~t being the lowest bid received meeting the contrac
13 requirements;
14 NOW. THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
That the City Council of the City of Vernon does
16 hereby award the contract in accordance with the recommendation ofD. D.
17 Grayson. and authorized the execution of a contract with Sully-Miller Contract-
IS ing Company for 25th Street Reconstructionl Santa Fe Avenue to Alameda
19 Street" in accordance with Contract No. 270 heretofore approved by the City
20 Council of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2:
That all other bids are rejected" and the City
22 Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to return all checks or drafts to
23 unsuccessful bidders.

SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
25 certify to the passage of this Resolution" and thereupon and thereafter the same
26 shall be in full force and effect.
27 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 18th day of August" 1964.
