2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPT
ING THE BID OF VERNON PAVING COMPANY FOR A TLANTIC BOULEVARD
3 RECONSTRUCTION FROM LOS ANGELES RIVER BRIDGE TO LONG BEACH
FREEWAY ON RAMP> IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 307.

5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
6 WHEREAS~ Contract No. 307 was approved by the City Council of
7 the City of Vernon by Resolution No. 2719~ and pursuant thereto sealed bids

were opened on August 181 1964; and"
9 WHEREAS" said bids were referred to D. D. Grayson~ Traffic
10 Engineer" who has reported to the City Council under date of August 281 1964~
11 recommending that a contract be awarded to Vernon Paving Company for the
12 sum of $18~ 454. 50~ it being the lowest bid received meeting the contract requir -
13 ments;
14 NOW" THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
That the City Council of the City of Vernon does
16 hereby award the contract in accordance with the recommendation of D. D.
17 Graysonl and authorized the execution of a contract with Vernon Paving Compa y
IS for Atlantic Boulevard Reconstruction from Los Angeles River Bridge to Long
19 Beach Freeway on Ramp~ in accordance with Contract No. 307 heretofore
20 approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2:
That all other bids are rejected. and the City
22 Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to return all checks or drafts to
23 unsuccessful bidders.

SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution. and thereupon and thereafter the same
shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 1st day of Septemberl 1964.
