HEARING A.NDPRESCRIBING,NOTICE TO BE GIVEN~ ANn .DECLARING A. NEWSpApElt OF GENERAL CIRCULA TION WITHIN THE CITY OF VERNON. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: That the Los Angeles Daily Journal is a daily newspaper of general circulation within the City of Vernon. That the notice of hearing on the petition for variance of UNIVERSIT"' REALTY COMPANY., a Texas corporation., be noticed by publication one (1) time at least ten (10) days prior to the date upon which said petition is set for hearing. That notice shall also be given by mailing a post card notice con- taining the same information as in the published notice not less than five (5) days prior to the date of hearing to all owners within a radius of three hundred feet (3001) of the property for which a variance is requested. That the 16th day of February.. 1965~ at the hour of 1 :15 o'clock p. M. ~ in the Council Chambers of the City Council in the City Hall~ located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue~ in the City of Vernon~ is the time fixed for the hearing on said petition for a variance. That the name of the applicant is UNIVERSITY REAL TY COMPANY a Texas corporation; that the address of applicant is c/o Gillin and Scott~ Attorneys at Law.. 1741 Ivar Ayenue~ Hollywood 28~ California 90028. That the legal description of the property for which the variance is requested is as follows: Those portions of Lot 5 and Lot 6 of the 500-acre tract of the Los Angeles Fruit Land Association as shown on map thereof record- ed in Book 3~ at pages 156 and 157 ~ of Miscellaneous Records in the Office of the County Recorder of said Los Angeles County.. more particularly described as follows: . . S. Growers and Shippers Service.. Inc... recorded as document No. 1118 of May 25.. 1950.. in Book 33224.. at page 350., of said Official Records; thence along said parallel line North 1009' 43" West 247.79 feet to a point which lies South 1009' 43" East 4.00 feet from the Southerly line of that certain railway right-of-way described as Parcel No. 6 in the Deed to Central Manufacturing District.. Inc... recorded as document No. 2523 of September 23~ 1948.. in Book 28320., at page 352~ of said Official Records; thence North 84054' 25" West 37.22 feet to a point in said Southerly right-of-way line., which point lies South 88055' 22" West 327.19 feet along said Southerly right-of-way line from a Northwesterly corner of said U. S. Growers and Shippers Service., Inc. ~ property; thence along said Southerly right of way line South 88055' 22" West 173.47 feet to a Northeasterly corner of said Grabler property; thence along a Northerly line of said Grabler property South 84054' 25" East 37.22 feet; thence along the Easterly line of said Grabler property South 10 09' 43ft East 248.04 feet to the point of beginning; containing an area of 1.0032 acres.. more or less. Said parcel of land is situated on the north side of East 44th Street~ approximately mid-way between B9y1e Avenue and Alcoa Avenue. A public hearing on the above matter will be held before the City Council of the City of Vernon on the 16th day of February., 1965.. at 1:15 0' clock p. M. ~ in the Council Chambers of the City Counci1~ in the City Hall located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue~ in the City of Vernon.. California. at which time anyone interested will be heard. The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall certify to the passage of this Resolution and thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect. ADOPTED and APPROVED this 19th day of January~ 1965. ..
