RESOLUTION NO. 2745
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPT
ING THE RECONSTRUCTION OF ATLANTIC BOULEVARD. LOS ANGELES
RIVER BRIDGE TO LONG BEACH FREEWAY ON-RAMP. IN ACCORDANCE
WITH CONTRACT NO. 307. OF THE CITY OF VERNON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS~ on September 1.. 1964.. the Vernon Paving Company was
awarded the contract for Atlantic Boulevard Reconstruction from Los Angeles
River Bridge to Long Beach Freeway On-Ramp.. in accordance with Contract
No. 307 of the City of Vernon; and~
WHEREAS~ D. D. Grayson.. Traffic Engineer .. has reported to the

City Council under date of January 18~ 1965 that the reconstruction of Atlantic
Boulevard~ Los Angeles River Bridge to Long Beach Freeway On-Ramp~ has
been completed and recommends that the work be accepted and payment made
to the Contractor in accordance with the agreement;
NOW., THEREFORE., BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the reconstruction of Atlantic Boulevard..
17 Los Angeles River Bridge to Long Beach Freeway On-Ramp~ be and the same
18 is hereby accepted in accordance with Contract No. 307 heretofore approved
19 by the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2:
That partial payment in the amount of $15" 227. 3~
21 has been made; that a partial payment of $168. 59 is now due and payable; and
22 the remaining fifteen per cent (15%)~ or the sum of $2~ 716.94.. is payable
23 thirty-five (35) days after adoption of this Resolution.. and the City Council
24 hereby directs payment of said sums to the Contractor.. Vernon Paving Compan .

SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
certify to the passage of this Resolution.. and thereupon and thereafter the same
shall be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 19th day of January.. 1965.
