RESOLUTION NO. 2747
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPT-
ING THE BID OF G M C., TRUCK AND COACH DIVISION., FOR FURNISHING
TWO UTILITY TRUCKS., IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 311.
. .
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
..
WHEREAS~ Contract No. 311 was approved by the City Council of
the City of Vernon by Resolution No. 2742.. and pursuant thereto sealed bids
7 were opened on January 19.. 1965; and

WHEREAS~ said bids were referred to R. H. King.. Sup't. Water
-
9 and Sewer Systems., who has reported to the City Council under date of January
10 22~ 1965~ recommending that a contract be awarded to GMC Truck and Coach
11 Division for the sum of $4~ 488. 00.. it being the lowest bid received meeting the
12 contract requirements;
13 NOW., THEREFORE.. BE IT RESOLVED:

That the City Council of the City of Vernon does
SECTION 1:
15 hereby award the contract in accordance with the recommendation of R. H.
16 King., and authorized the execution of a contract with G M C Truck and Coach
17 Division for furnishing two utility trucks., in accordance with Contract No. 311
IS heretofore approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon.

That all other bids are rejected.. and the City
SECTION 2:
20 Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to return all checks or drafts to
21 unsuccessful bidders.

The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
SECTION 3:
23 certify to the passage of this Resolution, and thereupon and thereafter the sam
24 shall be in full force and effect.
25 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 2nd day of February., 1965.
