1 RESOLUTION NO. 2748
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON AUTHOR
IZING THE DESTRUCTION OF CERTAIN PUBLIC RECORDS.

4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
5 WHEREAS~ under date of January 7.. 1965.. the City Clerk recom-
6 meneed that certain specified public records be destroyed; and
7 WHEREAS~ said records are more than five (5) years old; and
8 WHEREAS., Section 34090 of the Government Code of the State of
9 California provides for the destruction of public records under certain condi-
10 tions~ and all of said conditions have been duly complied with; and
11 WHEREAS., the City Attorney and all other departments heads of
12 the City of Vernon have given their written consent and approval to the destruc-
13 tion of said records;
14 NOW., THEREFORE., BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:
That the City Clerk be.. and he is hereby
16 authorized and directed to destroy those certain records specified in his com-
17 munication addressed to the City Council dated January 7 ~ 1965.

SECTION 2:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
19 certify to the passage of this Resolution.. and thereupon and thereafter the sam
20 shall be in full force and effect.
21 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 2nd day of February., 1965.
