2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPT-
ING THE BID OF VERNON PAVING COMPANY FOR.VERNON AVENUE
3 RESURFACING FROM ALAMEDA STREET TO SANTA FE AVENUE., IN ACCO
ANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 310.

5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

WHEREAS.. Contract No. 310 was approved by the City Council of
7 the City of Vernon by Resolution No. 2743.. and pursuant thereto sealed bids wer
S opened on February 2~ 1965; and

WHEREAS~ said bids were referred to D. D. Grayson.. Traffic
10 Engineer.. who has reported to the City Council under date of February 5~ 1965~
11 recommending that a contract be awarded to Vernon Paving Company for the su
12 of $11~ 270.18 including sales tax., it being the lowest bid received meetingfue
13 contract requirements;

NOW., THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the City Council of the City of Vernon does
16 hereby award the contract in accordance with the recommendation of D. D.
17 Grayson.. and authorized the execution of a contract with Vernon Paving Compan
IS for Vernon Avenue Resurfacing from Alameda Street to Santa Fe Avenue.. in
19 accordance with Contract No. 310 heretofore approved by the City Council of the
20 City of Vernon.

SECTION 2:
That all other bids are rejected., and the City
22 Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to return all checks or drafts to
23 unsuccessful bidders.

SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
25 certify to the passage of this Resolution.. and thereupon and thereafter the same
26 shall be in full force and effect.

ADOPTED and APPROVED this 16th day of February~ 1965.
