RESOLUTION NO. 2764
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPT
ING THE BID OF STElNY AND MITCHEL.. INC. FOR REMO:DELING TRAFFIC
SIGNALS AT. THE INTERSECTION OF BOYLE AVENUE AND FRUITLAND _
AVENUE" IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTltACT NO. 303 OF THE CITY OF
VERNON.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS.. Contract No. 303 was approved by the City Council of
the City of Vernon by Resolution No. 2753, and pursuant thereto sealed bids
were opened on April 6" 1965; and
WHEREAS., said bids were referred to D. D. Grayson.. Traffic
Engineer" who. has reported to the City Council under date of April 14" 1965..
recommending that a contract be awarded to Steiny and 1IIitchel.. Inc. for the
sum of *6~ 634. 00., it being the lowest bid received meeting the contract requir
ments;
NOW., THEREFORE., BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1;
That the City Council of the City of Vernon does
hereby award the contract in aceordance with the recommendation of D. D.
Grayson.. and authorized the exe~Jltion of a contract with Steiny and Wtchel"

Inc. for Remodeling Traffic Sigl1.v.:_l:~~ Intersee.tion.of Boyle ,Avetaue and
Fruitland Avenue~ in accordance with cohtract No. 303 heretofore approved by
the City Council of the City of Vernon.
SECTION 2:
That all other bids are rejected., and the City
22 Clerk is hereby instructed and directed to return all checks or drafts to
23 unsucce$sf'ul bidders.

SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
25 certify to the passage of this Resolution" and thereupon and thereafter the sam
26 shall be in full force and effect.
