2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPT
lNG THE WORK OF RESURFACING VERNON AVENUE FROM ALAMEDA
3 STREET TO SANTA FE AVENUE~. IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO.
310 OF THE CITY OF VERNON.

5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:

6 WHEREAS. on February 16. 1965. the Vernon Paving Cempany wa

7 awarded the.contract for resurfacing Vernon Avenue from Alameda Street to
8 Santa Fe Avenue. in accordance. with Contract No. 310 of the City of Vernon;
9 and.
10 WHEREAS" D. D. Grayson" Traffic Engineer. has reported to the

11 City Council under date of May 17. 1965" that the work of resurfacing Vernon
12 Avenue from Alameda Street to Santa Fe Avenue has been completed and
13 recommends that the work be accepted and payment made to the Contractor in
14 accordance. with the Agreement;
15 NOW"THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1:

That the work of resurfacing Vernon Avenue
17 from Alameda Street to Santa Fe Avenue be. and the same is hereby accepted
-
18 in accordance with Contract No. 310 heretofore approved by the City of Vernon
19
SECTION 2:
That a partial payment of $10.. 424.26 is now du
20 and payable. and the remaining fifteen percent (15%). or the sum of $1" 839. 58.
21 is payable thirty-five (35) days after adoption of this Resolution.. and the City
22 Council hereby directs payment of said sums to the Contractor.. Vernon Paving
23 Company.

SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall certi
25 to the passage of this Resolution. and thereupon and thereafter the same shall
26 be in full force and effect.
27 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 18th day of May" 1965.
