RESOLUTION NO. 2781
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON DECLAR
ING ITS INTENTION TO CLOSE-UP.. VACATE AND ABANDON AN ALLEY
EAST OF ALAMEDA STREET AND NORTH OF 37TH STREET. IN THE Crry
OF VERNON. COUNTY OF LOS ANGELES. STATE OF CALIFORNIA.
THE CITY COUNClL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1:
That it is the intention of the City Council of the
City of Vernon to order the vacation of an alley Ea.st of Ala.meda street and
North of 37th Street in the City of Vernon.. and mOre particularly described a.s
follows:
Beginning at a point~ said point being the north-
easterly corner of Lot 1. Block 1 of the Aldine
Square Tra.et as recorded in Book 29. Page 12. of
Miscellaneous Records in the Office .of the County
Recor~r. County of Los Angeles. Los Angeles.
California. thence southerly 132 feet along the
easterly line of Lots 1. 2. 3.. 4 and 5 of the said
Block 1 of the Aldine Square Tract to a point in
_ the southea.sterly corner of said Lot 5j, thence
easterly along the northerly line of Murial Ave.
now known a.s 37th Street. a distance -of 12 feet to
a point being theaouthwesterly corner of Lot 6.
Block 1 of the said Aldine Square Traet. thence
northerly 132 feet to a point being the northwesterly
Corner of the said Lot 6. thence westerly 12 feet
to the point of beginning all within the City of
Vernon., County of Los Angeles. State of Caliiorn.ia..
SECTION 2:
The City Councll of the City of Vernon elects
to handle these proceedings under the provisions of Division 9# Part 3 of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State of California.
SECTION 3:
The City Councll of the City of Vernon hereby
adopts as a map or plan of the proposed vacation of said a.lley. the City Engine s
Drawing titled "Proposed Vacation of Alley Located Approximately 1351 East
of Alameda St. and North of 37th Street" and directs that said map or plan be
. fUed in the City Clerk's office of the City of Vernon for particulars as to the
proposed vacation.
SECTION 4:
The City Council of the City of Vernon does
hereby fix the time for the hearing of all persons interested in or objecting to
the proposed vacation. which time and place shall be August 17, l'65at
2 o'clock P. Mu in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 5:
The City Council of the City of Vernon directs
that notices of the proposed alley vacation be posted conspicuously along the
Une of the street wherein the proposed alley to be vacated is situated. and sucl
notices shall state the passage of this Resolution of Intention. and the time and
p~ace of hearing for all persons interested in or objecting to the proposed vaca
tion. Said notices shall be posted not more than 300 feet apart and at lea.st
three (3) of such notices shall be posttld along the line of said alley proposed
to be vacated.
SECTION 6:
There being no newspaper of general circuiatio]
printed. published and circulated in theCiiy of Vernon. the City Cark is here-
by directed to post said Resolution. or cause the same to be posted. in three(3~
of the most public places in said City. to wit: at the northwest eorner of 38th
street and Santa Fe Avenuej at the northeast corner of Leonis Boulevard and
Paeifie Boulevard; and on the bulletin board in. the lobby of the City Hall of the
City of Vernon. located at 4305 Santa Fe Avenue. aU in said City. The City

thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full foree and effect.
