RESOLUTION NO. 2785
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPT..
ING THE REMODELING OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS AT THE INTERSECTION OF
BOYLE AVENUE AND FRUITLAND AVENUE. IN ACCORDANCE WITH CON-
TRACT NO. 303 OF THE CITY OF VERNON.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS. on April 20~ 1965.Steiny and Mitchel" Inc. was award-
ed the contract for remodeling traffic signals at the intersection of Boyle
Avenue and Furitland Avenue.. in accordance with Contract No. 303 of the City
of Vernon.; and
WHEREAS" D. D. Grayson. Traffic Engineer" has reported to the
City Couooil under date of July 15. 1965. that the remodeling has been completE d
and recommends that the work be accepted and payment made to the Contractor
in accordance with the agreement;
NOW. THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED:
SECTION 1:
That the remodeling of traffic signals at the
intersection of Boyle Avenue and Fruitland Avenue be. and the same is hereby
accepted in accordance with Contract No. 303 heretofore approved by the City
of Vernon.
SECTION 2:
That a partial payment of $5~ 638.90 is now due
and payable~ and the remaining fifteen percent (15'.).. or the sum of $995.10 is
payab Ie thirty....five (35) days after adoption of this Resolution. and the City
Council hereby directs payment of said sums to the Contractor. Steinyand
Mitchel~ Inc.
SECTION 3:
The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall certif v
to the passage of this Resolution. and thereupon and thereafter the same shall
be in full force and effect.
ADOPTED and APPROVED this 20th day of July. 1965.
