" i 1 2 '.0 4 5 RESOLUTION NO. 2852 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RELATIVE TO COMPENSATION FOR FIRE DEPARTMENT PERSONNEL ASSIGNED TO SPECIAL DUTIES INCONSISTENT WITH THEIR PRESENT CLASSIFICATION. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: SECT10N 1: Employees of the Fire Department shall 6 receive additional compensation to raise their pay to the next '1 highest grade, above the grade which ,they are now receiving, when 8 they are assigned by the Fire Chief to special duties inconsistent 9 with their present classification. 10 SECTION 2: No additional compensation shall be. paid for 11 assiguents to special duties for periods of time less than one 12 month. For convenience of accounting, these assiguents shall be 13 on a full calendar monthly basis only. 14 SECTION 3: The Fire Chief shall immediately file a 15 written notice to the City Clerk whenever an employee is aSSigned t 16 special duty, stating the type of special duty, the employee's 17 name, regular job classification and grade. The Fire Chief shall 18 immediately file a written notice to the City Clerk when an employe 19 who has been assigned to special duty is returned to duty con- 20 sistent with his regular job classification. 21 SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is 22 hereby directed to certify to the passage of this Resolution and 23 thereupon and thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect 24 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 6th day of September, 1966. 25 26 27 28 29 ATTEST: ~- -- ,..~ F..
