RESOLUTION NO. 2853
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON REQUESTING
EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN TERRITORY FROM THE CONSOLIDATED SEWER
~ MA.INTENANCE DISTRICT.
4 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF' VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
5 WHEREAS, the City of Vernon did annex certain territory
6 lying within the Consolidated Sewer Maintenance District; and
7 WHEREAS, on the 6th day of June, 1966, Frank M. Jordan,
8 Secretary of the State of California, did certify that a copy of
9 Ordinance No. 778 setting forth approval of the annexation to the
10 City of Vernon of contiguous uninhabited territory designated as
11 "Packers Island Annexation", was filed in his office pursuant to
12 the provisions of Section 35317 of the Government Code of the State
13 of California; and
14 WHEREAS, on August 15, 1966, F. A. Ziemer, City Clerk of
15 the City of Vernon, did file affidavit of completion of said
16 annexation with the Los Angeles County Recorder pursuant to the
17 provisions of Section 34080 of the Government Code of the State of
18 California; and
19 WHEREAS, on August 16, 1966, Ray E. Lee, Recorder of
20 Los Angeles County, did file City Clerk's affidavit of completion
21 of said annexation as Document No. 2077 (File No. F 1944);
22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1': Pursuant to the provisions of Section 4926
24 of the Health and Safety Code of the State of California, the
25 City Gounci1.of the City of Vernon does hereby request that certain
26 territory designated as "Packers Island Annexation" be excluded
27 from the Consolidated Sewer Maintenance District. Said "Packers

Island Annexation" is all that territory situate in the County of
Los Angeles, State of California, more particularly described as:
Beginning at the .northwest corner of lot 10 of 500 Acre
Tract Los Angeles FruitLand Association". as per map of Tract
No. 6056 filed inbook.74 at page 33.of Maps in the office of the
Recorder of Los Angeles County, California; said point being on
the boundary of the City of Vernon as it existed on November 1,
1965, thence fOllowing said boundary in all its various courses
to the point of beginning.

SECTION 2: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon is here-
2 by directed to file a certified copy of this resolution with the
'.0 Board of Supervisors of Los Angeles County.

SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall
5 certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and
6 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect.
7 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 6th day of September, 1966.
