Resolution No. 2854 . , 1 RESOLUTION NO. 2854 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPl'ING THE WORK OF EMERGENCY REPA IR OF SANTA FE AVENUE IN ACCORDANCE WITH '.3 CONTRACT NO. 323 OF THE CITY OF VERNON. 4 5 6 '1 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: WHEREAS, Vernon Paving Company was awarded the contract for the emergency repair of Santa Fe Avenue under Contract No. 323 of the City of Vernon; and WHEREAS, David D. Grayson, Traffic Engineer, has reported to the City Council under date of August 24, 1966 that the work of emergency repair of Santa Fe Avenue has been completed and recom- mends that the work be accepted, and payment be made to the con- tractor in accordance with the agreement; .NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: SECTION 1: That the work of emergency repair of Santa Fe 15 Avenue be and the same hereby is accepted in accordance with 16 Contract No. 323 heretofore approved by the City of Vernon. 17 SECTION 2: That a partial payment of $9,305.00 is now 18 due and payable, and that the remaini,~ l5~, or the sum.of $1,642.0 , 19 is payable thirty-five (35) days after the adoption of this 20 Resolution, and the City Council hereby directs payment of said 21 sums to the contractor, Verno~\paving Company. , 22 SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Vernon shall 23 certify to the passage of this Resolution, and thereupon and there- 24 after the same shall be in full force and effect. 25 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 6th day of September, 1966. 26 27 28 29 30 ATTEST: ~itY 31 Clerk 32 1. ~ ~ .J' .. - '.. ~ ... 1 STATE OF CALIFORNIA ) ) ss. 2 COUNTY OF LOS' ANGELES ) '.3 4 I, F.
