Resolution No. 2856 ... . 1 RESOLUTION NO. 285i 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON ACCEPrING THE BID OF VERNON PAVING COMPANY FOR THE HEATER REMIXING AND '.3 ASPHALT RESURFACING OF CERTAIN STREETS IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 321. 4 5 THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: 6 WHEREAS, Contract No. 321 was approved by the City '1 Council of the City of Vernon by Resolution No. 2844, and pursuant 8 thereto sealed bids were opened on August 16, 1966; and 9 WHEREAS, said bids were referred to D. D. Grayson, 10 Traffic Engineer, who has reported to the City Council under date 11 of August 29, 1966, recommending that a contract be awarded to 12 Vernon Paving Company for the sum of $88,195.30, it being the 13 lowest bid meeting the contract requirements; 14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: 15 SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon 16 does hereby award the contract in accordance with therecommenda- 17 tion of D. D. Grayson, and authorizes the execution of a contract 18 with Vernon Paving Company for heater remixing and asphalt resur- 19 faCing,.of certain streets, in accordance with Contract No. 321 20 heretofore approved by the City Council of the City of Vernon. 21 SECTION 2: That all other bids are rejected, and the 22 City Clerk is hereby instructed to return all checks or drafts 23 to unsuccessful bidders. 24 SECTION 3: The City Clerk of the City of Ver!1on shall 25 certify to the passage of this Resolution, and thereupon and 26 thereafter the same shall be in full force and effect. 27 ADOPTED and APPROVED this 6th day of $eptember, 1966. 28 R. 29 30 ATTEST: .~City Clerk 31 32 1.
