5 THE.CITY COUNCIL OF'THE CITY OF VERNON RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
RESOLUTION NO.' 2868
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, ACCEPTING
THE BID OF INDUSTRIAL PIPELINE CONSTRUCTION COMPANY ~OR,THE
CONSTRUCTION OF A WATER MAIN, BOYLE AVENUE TO ALCOA AVENUE, NORTH
OF RANDOLPH STREET, IN ACCORDANCE WITH CONTRACT NO. 325.
6 WHEREAS, Contract No. 325 was approved by the City Council
7 of the City of Vernon by Resolution No. 2861, and pursuant thereto
8 sealed bids were openE3d on the 1st day of November, 1966, and
9 WHEREAS, said bids were referred to R. H. King, superint~n-
10 dent of Water &; Sewer Systems, who has reported to the City
11 Council under date of November 14, 1966, recommending that a con-
12 tract be awarded to Industrial Pipeline Construction Company for
13 the sum of $18,760.00, it being the lowest bid meeting ,the contract
14 requirements,
15 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED:

SECTION 1: That the City Council of the City of Vernon
17 does hereby award the contract in accordance with the recommenda-
18 tion of R. H. King, and authorizes the execution of a contract with
19 Industrial Pipeline Construction Company for the construction of a
20 water main, Boyle Avenue to Alcoa Avenue, North of Randolph Street,
21 in accordance with Contract No. 325 heretofore approved by the
22 City Council of the City of Vernon.

SECTION 2: That all other bids are rejected, and the City
24 Clerk is hereby instructed to return all checks or drafts to un-
25 successful bidders.

SECTION 3: That the City ~l,erk of the City of Vernon Shall
27 certify to the passage of this resolution, and thereupon and there-
28 after the same shall be in full force and effect.
